Heidi Home, Museum

We went to the village of Heidi today. We drove to the house of Heidi about an hour from Liechtenstein by car. First we visited Heidi's house which was used as a museum now and then to  the house of her grandfather! It was pretty steep way in the woods about the first 10 minutes, but still could walk. It was a long way and I felt so tired and did not want to walk any more but there were some wooden sign on the way about the places that Heidi and her friends visited so we took a rest many time, reading the sign and imagined Heidi was there before. After about 2 hours somehow we arrived the top with rain and fog! It was completely white everywhere, could not see a thing! but soup and sausages were so good in the restaurant after a long and cold walk, it was wonderful! We started walking to the top at 2pm and were back down at the parking lot at 6pm. I walked a lot today!

Finally Matterhorn！

Today was the first sunny day after we arrived Zermatt! Finally!  Matterhorn was clearly visible from the our hotel room! The greatest! Breakfast cooked by dad again. We had omelet & boiled egg, total 10 eggs for today and the morning champagne for mom and dad again! After nice breakfast we took a slow walk to downtown and bought some souvenir for my kindergarten friends and left for Munich at 12 o'clock. On the way, we stopped for a short sightseeing at Bern, tour the house of Einstein which took about 1 hour and continued our drive back home and we arrived Munich around 9pm. Switzerland was so fun!

Rohan Paradise, Switzerland

Glacier！

It rained from morning although we expected good weather today! We planned to go to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise but due to the weather the lift to the top was not closed today so we turned back and went to Rohan Paradise where we didnt make it yesterday but it turned to be a snowstorm up there and too cold so we just waited for the next lift and went straight back down! After waited for a while at the station and Matterhorn Glacier Paradise was still closed so we changed our plan and go to Gornergrat instead.  When the train arrived on the top both me and mom still could not wake up so we all stayed in the train and went back down and went up to the top again. After a nap, both of us were finally ready for a walk but only for a short time we gave up because it was too cold outside and too cloudy to see anything so we went back to down again!!! On the way down, we stopped at a station on the way, hoping we could see Matterhorn finally but still too foggy to see anything. Dad heard a bell ring from somewhere so we followed the sound and found a flock of sheep come out of the fog!!!  It was a black face sheep that we had never seen before, a lot!! and so close!!! We were so excited!! We took so many photos with those cute sheep. Finally today we could see only half of Matterhorn but it was good enough, we still had another day tomorrow! Mom and dad bought cheese and wine again and went back to the hotel having dinner at the balcony and during dinner finally all the cloud 'd gone and all of Matterhorn appeared just in front of us, only 5 minutes before disappeared in the cloud again!

Self cooking corner in the hotel！

This morning dad made an omelet for our breakfast at the hotel. There was a self cooking corner with all needed tools that you could cook the favorite kind of omelet by yourself and beside also a juicer that you could make your own fresh orange juice too! All yummy!!  Dad had to make another set of omelet for us because it was so delicious and we ended up having all 8 eggs for 3 of us!  Another surprise for this breakfast was a bottle of champagne! Can you believe it?  Though mom said she 'd never had one in the morning, she joined dad happily! We thought that the weather would not be so good today but it turned to be quite sunny so we headed to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise after breakfast. While we were climbing up, the snowstorm started so we spent our time inside for a while after arrived. There was a ice tunnel, icy slide, etc and it was fun inside too. We could not see anything from the observation tower because of snow so we went down and move to Rohan Paradise but again due to snow we could not make it to our destination so we went back early and went to the supermarket near the station. Mom and dad got Switzerland cheese and wine and olive for today and headed back to the hotel. I played at the pool after dinner today, it was good!

Today we moved to Zermatt. On the way, we had another new experience! Our car was on the train in order to go through the tunnel and inside the tunnel it was so dark that I got scared a little! Cars only could go until Tsoz station and we had to parked our car there and got on the train to Zermatt. Dad bought 3days peak pass so it could be used for our ride back too. In order to avoid pollution, cars were not allowed in this town but only an electric car so you could be sure the air here was very clean!  We arrived at the station and had the electric car from our hotel sent us to the hotel. Matterhorn view was right in front of our balcony! After checked in we walked to the train station and took a train to Gornergrat immediately! 33 minutes to the summit. It was so cold but superb view. Unfortunately Matterhorn was no longer visible because of a lot of cloud but we were so impressed by the nice view of glaciers, not bad for today! After that we went back to the hotel pool, only 3 of us in the pool today!
