Matterhorn and Bern, Switzerland

Finally Matterhorn！

From our hotel room!

Today was the first sunny day after we arrived Zermatt! Finally!  Matterhorn was clearly visible from the our hotel room! The greatest! Breakfast cooked by dad again. We had omelet & boiled egg, total 10 eggs for today and the morning champagne for mom and dad again! After nice breakfast we took a slow walk to downtown and bought some souvenir for my kindergarten friends and left for Munich at 12 o'clock. On the way, we stopped for a short sightseeing at Bern, tour the house of Einstein which took about 1 hour and continued our drive back home and we arrived Munich around 9pm. Switzerland was so fun!

It was sunny this morning! We left for the mountain as soon as you  finished breakfast. We took the gondola up to "First" and from there we walked to the beautiful lake, Bachalpsee, recommended by the guide book which took us about 1hour. The scenery along the way was real Switzerland's! It was so wonderful. We walked slowly, enjoying the view and I could walk to and from the lake by myself. But you might need to be careful because sometimes the cliff was just right next to you, no fence! We could enjoy the beautiful scenery with our own responsibility so I had to stick near mom and dad all the time.

After enjoyed the beautiful lake, we walked back to the "First" station again and had an ice cream in the restaurant. I played swing nearby, it was so high up on the mountain and the air was so nice, it was fun! Today dinner was the same since the first day in Switzerland this time, take out Chinese on the balcony of the hotel, yum!

Jungfraujoch, Switzerland

Interlaken Ost station 

Today main destination was Jungfraujoch! We got up at 6:00am, had our breakfast at 8:00am and left the hotel at  9:00am! Our train left Interlaken Ost station at 10:05am. We had to transfer to another train twice before arrived at Jungfraujoch at 12:30pm. It was a sunny day so view all along and on the top of the mountain was so great!  The air on the top of the mountain was a bit thinner than on the ground and that made dad a bit dizzy but still ok.

First we visited Sphinx observatory and went to the Play zone for snow play. Mom tried a new activity which was like Tarzan rope I played in the park except she had the thicker string around her and jumped down from the much higher place down the mountain and she said it felt good! I would like to try to but they said I was too young!!! I played with snow too much that my feet got freezing and I just found out when I took my shoes off that my shoes was all wet and there was a hole inside!  We went back inside in the resting area, had lunch. On the way here, there was too crowded that we could have a seat so we got a ticket for free drinks for that. Dad had 2 cans of beer using that ticket while I and mom had Korean cup noodle which was so good but costed 5.5CHF per one cup! "tourist price" We took the 3:30 train and arrived Interlaken ost station around 7:00pm. Today we had cheese fondu in town for 25CHF/person, quite expensive but mom said that it tasted better than the one we had in Zurich.

St. Gallen monastery, Switzerland

Convent of St Gall

After you drove around Zurich to see the city in overall for a while, we moved to Switzerland's world heritage, Convent of St Gall. Although its look from outside was quite simple but inside was stunning!  We also visited the library next door and felt like we were in the movie of Harry Potters! but with the entrance fee of 10 francs per person! After hanging around in the city for a while, we had Kabab and pizza for lunch. Spinach pizza and Kabab, quite good! But, again food in Switzerland was so expensive!!!
